A long time ago since the first settlers
this place was great and remembered in time
Phoenicians, Romans, used their fishing gear.
the sanctuary of Melkart can be seen from here
later came merchants from all over the world,
there were times of monarchies, kings and gold
silver water, sun on your face.
You were a girl with a breeze in your hair
in the hard 30's, a factory thrived there.
tuna fishing, like in ancient times
my granny told me these stories, my great-grandfather
built that villagewhere she lived
a church, a school, even a cinema in summer.
of course, a house where to sleep
a strong explosion in 1947.
my mother still remembers, she was just a girl
she was playing on the shore. between the nets and rocks,
sirens sound , the sailors return
then came the modern times,the factory closed
little by little people left the place
now everything is broken, only the church remains.

Nico Gómez is a musician born in Cádiz (Spain) in 1975. After playing several years in numerous local bands, he finally
decides to compose his own music.
Highly influenced by Mark Knopfler an J.J. Cale, he feels comfortable playing mid tempo and the Laid Back, creating a music with low profile.
With his current band "Slow Train", Nico plays all this music live.
